Hello!

I split my time between the visual side and the wordal side of creativity. I’m happiest when I’m shepherding the arts, whether I’m designing graphics for a music center or editing an exquisite personal essay.

EXPERIENCE

January 2021–present
Art Director, Brevard Music Center’s Summer Festival
I create all brand collateral for BMC’s months-long festival, including its 180-page program. Built a new visual language for 2024’s festival.

December 2022–present
Story Editor and Copyeditor, The Assembly
I edit and copyedit articles for the North Carolina-centric magazine.

May 2021–present
Editor, The Rumpus
Series editor for ENOUGH, a space for women and nonbinary people who have experienced sexual assault and domestic violence.

Editor, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Editor at the Carolina Population Center, a global public health research hub. I edit op-eds, reports, and blogs.

Editor, Freelance
I edited essays, reported articles, manuscripts, sample chapters, book proposals, The North Carolina Medical Journal, and brand copy. Manuscript topics included systemic racism in bankruptcy law and cults in America. I also copyedited for a large creative agency.

I wore two hats at the literary magazine: (1) I art directed or created every illustration and image published, built relationships with tons of fiercely talented illustrators, and managed our in-house senior designer. (2) I edited personal essays and reported features.
